“Stay Woke” and the Aquarian Age

Some of this content may be controversial to some readers. I welcome comments as long as they remain civil and add to an intelligent discussion.

“Stay Woke” is a slang term defined by the Urban Dictionary as: “Deriving from “stay awake,” to stay woke is to keep informed of the shitstorm going on around you in times of turmoil and conflict, specifically on occasions when the media is being heavily filtered- such as the events in Ferguson Missouri in August 2014.”  While most of us white people just started hearing the phrase recently, it was and then   in 2008 before it spread through African American communities after the death of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown.

The idea of being “woke,” or awake, is in my view a harbinger of the Age of Aquarius.  During the Age of Pisces there has been a sense of sleep.  Pisces teaches us to go with the flow – to connect with our dreams, to seek comfort in transcendence and the bliss of losing one’s self.  Under the Piscean influence humans relinquished control to the religious institutions which have dominated the power structures of the past 2,000 years.  Aquarius is the sign of awakening – of rational thinking.  Neither is better, and both have their dark sides.  But the idea that we need to wake up – keep our eyes open and see behind the curtain of Piscean illusion – looks to me like the transition between the Piscean Age and the Aquarian.

The meme of “Stay Woke” often edges into conspiracy theory.  As someone with a healthy amount of suspicion myself, this seems normal in a world where you are […]

The Black Moon Lilith in Astrology and Rose McGowan

Black Moon Lilith “Lilith’s Daughter” by Drusila

As some of you know, I have been exploring the meaning of the Black Moon Lilith ever since I discovered she conjoined my Pluto and South Node, explaining a lot about the trauma in my past and relationship issues.

In my experimentation with clients I have come to think of Lilith as describing a primal female rage against the patriarchy and domination of men.  In the story of Lilith, she was Adam’s first wife and was equal to him. When she refused to lie under him Adam threw her out and asked Jehovah to provide him with a more suitable mate and it was then that Jehovah fashioned Eve out of Adam’s rib to ensure that she would remain submissive to him (except for that whole apple thing).  Lilith “flew away” or was banished, depending on who you believe, and spent the rest of her years howling in the night with rage for her children who were killed by the angels of God.  Under the patriarchal religions of the Piscean age she was transformed into a demon, a succubus,

The Black Moon Lilith (not to be confused with the Dark Moon or the Lilith asteroid)  is not a body in the sky, but a focal point between the Earth and the farthest point of the lunar orbit.  (See this image from .)

In a regression a few years ago I uncovered an ancient life in which during a bloody battle I was raped and my children murdered in front of me.  I have always been fearful of having children and I felt that the residual anxiety from this ancient life had bled into my current one. […]

Sunday inspiration: We’ve come a long way, baby

Image from Refinery29 on Instagram

The Age of Cancer, approximately 6000-8000 bce, was marked by the rise of agriculture as a more reliable means to feed humanity than simple hunting and gathering.  The Moon, ruler of the nurturing and sign Cancer, became elevated to goddess stature and we begin to see cults of the “Mother Goddess” and fertility cults.  With people beginning to settle into homes and communities, paternity could not be established but maternity could, so the lines of family origin were traced through the mother.  This matrilinear culture persisted through the Age of Gemini (approximately 4000-6000 bce) which continued the establishment of communities and language, and into the age of Taurus (approximately 2000-4000 bce)

Under the influence of the warlike Age of Aries (approximately 2000 bce to the beginning of the common era) the concept of monotheism arose and with it a more patriarchal warrior society to defend the single god.  The role of women became diminished (they are hardly mentioned in the Hebrew bible) and while societies remained matrineal in nature they were ruled by men and dependent on them economically.

This continued through the Piscean age (approximately 0-2100 ce) with the rise of the ancient Church and its denigration of sexuality and emphasis on the idea that any man born from woman is born in sin. While some women rose to power through family connections it was a relatively rare thing and women held no government positions unless they were of royal blood.  They were unable to attend school and were subservient to their male relatives.  If they attempted to take on too much power in their societies they were looked on suspiciously and for about 300 years burned as […]

Robotics and the Aquarian Age

age of aquariusNo one really knows exactly when the Age of Aquarius begins.  The Great Year, the period during which the sun rotates back through the twelve zodiacal signs at the Equinoxes, is about 26,000 years which makes each zodiac age about 2150 years but when you’re talking about numbers this big there is significant room for error.

During the 1960s the Broadway play Hair pushed the idea of the Age of Aquarius into the mainstream as some sort of golden age of love and understanding but if you know anything about Aquarius you’ll know it’s not exactly that simple.  Aquarius has nothing to do with flower power. Aquarius is an air sign – it’s domain is the realm of reason and detachment, not love and peace.  Aquarius has two rulers: its traditional ruler is Saturn which can be cold and goal-driven.  Its modern ruler, Uranus, is the disrupter – under Uranus fairness and equality becomes more important than individual relationships or needs.  Aquarius governs technology, astrology, science and revolution.

While signs of the Age of Aquarius have been on the rise (computer technology, an increase in awareness of LGBT issues, revolutionary fervor throughout the world) it has really ramped up since Uranus has been in Aries, the sign of individual expression and motivation.

The growing field of robotics is an indicator of how close we are getting to the Aquarian Age.  Take a look at Sophia, the new humanoid robot from Hanson Labs:

A “chatbot” from Microsoft called Tay flamed out in Twitter wars in less than a day as exposure to the deadly Twitter environment led to .

The reality of technology in general, and robotics in particular, replacing jobs is now upon us, although Mercedes Benz recently announced […]

Pluto in Aquarius: The Singularity arrives on schedule

pluto in aquarius caught my eye:

We will reach the singularity in the timeframe most experts predict. From that point on you’re going to see that the top species will no longer be humans, but machines.”

These are the words of Louis Del Monte, physicist, entrepreneur, and author of .” Del Monte spoke to us over the phone about his thoughts surrounding artificial intelligence and the singularity, an indeterminate point in the future when machine intelligence will outmatch not only your own intelligence, but the world’s combined human intelligence too.

The average estimate for when this will happen is 2040, though Del Monte says it might be as late as 2045. …

“By the end of this century,” he continued, “most of the human race will have become cyborgs [part human, part tech or machine]. The allure will be immortality. Machines will make breakthroughs in medical technology, most of the human race will have more leisure time, and we’ll think we’ve never had it better. The concern I’m raising is that the machines will view us as an unpredictable and dangerous species.”

Del Monte believes machines will become self-conscious and have the capabilities to protect themselves. They “might view us the same way we view harmful insects.” Humans are a species that “is unstable, creates wars, has weapons to wipe out the world twice over, and makes computer viruses.” Hardly an appealing roommate.

Singularity can be defined as “ a point where a measured variable reaches unmeasurable or infinite value.”  The technological singularity has been discussed as the point at which technological (artificial) intelligence exceeds human intelligence.

This concept is nothing new – it has its roots […]
